"Lighthouse Central Bait & Tackle"

Post by CSMarine »

For those who fish the lighthouse, and points east of St. Marks, my Aunt just opened a new bait and tackle store on the St. Marks River at the base of the Newport bridge.
They carry a full line of fresh & salt water bait & tackle. Live shrimp, live minnows, frozen shrimp, LY's, and squid. They'll soon be carring live Pinfish also. They also rent Canoes, and small electric powered boats.
They are open 7 days a week dawn-dusk. They also have some of the best "Smoked Mullet" you've ever tasted. :lick:
Phone number is 850-925-9904. Tell Aunt Cathy hey for me.

Mention my name. She's one of the few relatives I have who likes me. Atticus, Newport had a shipyard during the "War" just down river from the bridge. Lot of interesting history on that river. They fitted out Confederate Ironclads there.
There also have been some big Stripers caught right off thier dock recently. One over 30Lbs. :o
