Moved in to shallower water a caught 4 more shorts. About 12:15, hit the creeks looking for reds. Had a fish hit a topwater plug so hard it looked like someone dropped a VW Bug on it. He stripped drag for about 3-4 seconds and then snap. I never turned him around. Managed to catch 7 Reds over the next hour up to 19". Had the boat on the trailer at 2:00pm having cought 10 trout (4 keepers) 7 reds (had our limit) and 1 nice flounder. All and all, it was a great day that only got better as the sun finally made it warm enough to enjoy an ice cold Beer.

Aucilla River 3/22
After 5 weeks without having the opportunity to go to the coast, I was able to go on Sat. Launched the boat around 8:30am and ran out to some water about 4ft. Started throwing a "TopDog" with little success. Had a couple of hits, but no takers. Finally swiched to a "Gulp" under a CT and over the next hour and a half, caught about 6 trout (4 keepers).

sounds like a good trip.
Wedding tour '08 has so far impeded my fishing season, but my calendar is clear in April.
