Aucilla 3/22
Me and dad went to might Aucilla River Sat. AM, got there at 10 AM to find the river still low, had to take our time going out and still brushed up on an oyster bar right in the center of the river. Nothing broke, made it out and fished east of river til 12:30 and had one 14'' trout, no other bites. Left there and headed west, found a lot of small trout from 10''-14.5'' out in 5.5 ft. water. Alot of boats were there so we fished there a while til we decided to look some more. Talked to another boat from Moultrie with 3 guys that had 10 keeper trout. Moved in toward shore more to the west and got 2 keepers and 2-3 shorts. Mostly on CT with new penney Gulp 3''. Had to pop the corks due to the water being very still, light ripple on top. Left there and went back out where the other boats were and managed one more keeper trout on sinking mirrolure( water is about 6 ft. deep there.) and a few more shorts. Had one cutoff, i'm guessing a Spanish. About 4 pm it started getting rough, the wind picked up and fish quit altogether. So we called it about 4:30 and went to the hill. The other boat was at the ramp and they ended up with 15 keepers, caught 2 more and threw them back. I told dad their catch was phenomenal given the slow bite and chilly morning we had. I think they were using white gulp. It was good to be out there again, all in all it was a good day and we brought back dinner. Had a big BB-Q sandwich at Fallin's to top it off.

Sounds like a good day
