Left Sportsmans Club dock in Albany at daylight. Water temp was 63 degrees. No wind. No current to speak of. We Bass fished up the river until about 2:30pm. Had two hits, with my partner catching a 2Lb Bass, and me catching a dink.
Started Crappy fishing. Nothing bitting untill about 4:00pm. Pulled up to one tree and in 15 minutes we had 26 Crappy. My partner caught one of the biggest Crappy I've seen in a while. Over 2Lbs. Then they turned off. Fished till after dark and didn't catch another fish of any kind. Still had a great time and fresh fish for Sunday dinner.
CS,
Sounds like you need to keep crappie fishing. That report ain't bad.
We just got back from St. George Is. and almost got skunked. It was real windy and we couldn't go out. Ended up with 1 small whiting and some small grunts. Lost a big trout and wife lost nice flounder. I guess that's the way some days go-lose the good ones.
How do you join the Albany Sportsmans club? We might be interested.
Jessie it's by invitation only. I'll get you an application. They only take members once a year in Febuary. It's members are men only and it's only $35. a year for membership. Your wife can use the place with you. she just can't be a member. Good ramp, lighted dock, great building. The 4th GA had a party there a couple times I think.
I gotta do some more freshwater fishin soon course, I may be forgot how by now sounds like ya knowed what tree ta pull up to ta me
