Alright, I bought a pair of Okuma Classic 300L's off e-bay last week, I should be getting them tomorrow. I've got a Penn 320GT2 on a Penn Slammer 7' Heavy Action. I dont want to spend a ton of money on a pair of rods that wont get that much use, but I dont want to buy crap either. I'll probably use one for just bait with a sabiki rig, so I was thinking that I'd just get a Penn LongBeach for $20 and that would be good enough. Question is what to get for the other one, and like I said I dont want to spend a ton of money.
Thats a big wiff for the Okuma Rods at Wally-world, their selection is crap. Its pretty much Tidewater or Penn, and the selection of that isn't so hot. I was going to get a Penn Jigmaster for 29.99, but figured I'd just hit Sports Authority tomorrow and get a LongBeach for 19.99.
Well hot damn, I dont know why there cant be a decent fishing store around here. I'm going to grab that Penn for 19.99, but I'll check out that Okuma.
I've got a Penn 320 too, got that at Wally-world, great steal. They screwed up the price tag, got it as a combo for like $68 along with a Penn Slammer rod....retail price for the combo was like $139.99....gotta love idiots.
