Fish quicker. Topwater about 10X more aggressive than most think you should.
Look for mixed bottom, edges of any kind, cloudy transistion, birds on bait, and catch up some pinfish to drift while you're throwing other stuff. Spanish are here, so do that too. Have fun and leave some $ behind, we don't have a state income tax ya know.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.

use natural bait colors, nothing too bright. Like LIt said, use a fast presentation as long the water temp is up. Keep a low profile in the boat, they can see you coming. Also, some people wear neutral colored clothing for that same reason. Don't bang around in the boat too much, especially if you're in an aluminum ride.

Cast long and far...I don't worry about color ...I use pink alot, but have never seen a pink mullet :-?

I prefer a suspending or soft type jerk baits...really whatever you are confindent with is the biggest key.

What Chalk said, plus what ak and lit said. All good advice. Also, in really clear conditions, think about what the fish looking up can see best against the skyline. Think about the fact that if you start catching a lot of shorts, youre color may be too bright. Older( bigger) trout have more keen eyesight so you may want to tone it down. The color alewife /pink bottom, pearl, bone, and chicken bone are all real good clear water colors. If youre a gulp man, 7" jerk shad in pearl or everybody's stand by, new penny. Good luck!
