St. Andrews 04/04/08

Decided it was just to rough to try and prefish east today and opted for a redfish trip.

Da wind was an average of 10-15 knots...I was blowing so hard that it blew an almost full water bottle off my console. Nearly blew a rod off the boat. It was blowing.

Managed to find a redfish early, it came unbuttoned at the boat :-?

Later I found this lil guy wanting to eat a rattle trap.

Finally keep working into the wind west...managed one more trout on topwater. Finally found a few fish and was circling back to see if I could get one to chew. I hear a slight boom of in the distance, then another...grab the phone and pull up the weather...all I saw was orange and red...gotta go too much metal and graphite hanging on my boat.

Played with the Bite-A-Bait Top Walker topwater plug, really like the action of the plug...got one trout on it to :-D

Saw fish, hooked fish and caught fish...it was getting good, but the weather ran me off. Found two new redfish spots, so I am happy :-D

Thanks for the report. I'll be over that way in a couple weeks. I like the pistol grip on the trout

Any day spent fishing is a good day! That bite-a-bait plug is a good one...I caught most of my topwater fish on the chrome-black back and the gold top-orange bottom ones last year.
Boom goes the dynamite.

All concerned about the wind this morning I put sunscreen on my face (that is all)

Hardly any sun all day, but the back of legs feel like the surface of the sun and look like it :o
