Re: Tournament News?
I got up at 3 and drove over from Panama City and fished and drove back home...you would think the ones (I originally typed slackers
) in Tallahassee would be able to make a post by now
Baygator won first, Chalk and Tincan took second and I don't know the guy that won third.
Bow'd Up won the bluefish
Redfish...was won by ?
And Casey Cook didn't win a rod

Re: Tournament News?
We put in at the lighthouse at 9:00am due to getting a late start because of a sick child at home
There were only 5 trucks in the parking lot which didn't look too encouraging....add to it the WIND. We launched anyhow and headed east to an area that has produced decent fish in the past. First cast landed a decent spanish. Next cast the same. Then Jr. got broke off fishing from the bow. I decide to move and get away from the spanish. Stopped in another spot 1/2 mile away and we get our first trout right at 15". A short while later, we lost a nice one around 18-19" right at the boat. Then the bite died around 10:30am. We fished the next few hours almost to Aucilla with NO luck. Threw everything in the box at 'em. Decided to lick our wounds and head back to St. Marks. Got SOAKED the entire way back. There wasn't a dry spot on us. Stopped right at the bar in front of the lighthouse and managed a nice snot cat and a huge gar...both on a white gulp scrimp. On the way to the channel, we found an old crab trap line with no float. I pulled it in to save someone else the misfortune of getting tangled in it also.....it even had a few blue crabs in it
Got loaded up and headed to Jerry's. Pulled up right at 3:30pm and wondered why everybody was looking at us. We were dragging the stupid crab trap behind the boat and had lost all our crabs!!! What a way to end the day. Did win a cooler and a gift certificate at the raffle though
Congrats to all the winners and those that stuck out a miserable day for fishing
