Stiff nylon rope
You folks know any way to soften up nylon rope that is stiff? What I have currently is 1/2 in. white nylon. It is not bad when it is wet, but dry, it is almost too stiff to use it to tie up to the dock. ps - maybe I am dreaming and I just need to replace it, but I thought I would ask...

Put it in a 5 gallon bucket with some water and some laundry fabric softener. It works well for cast nets so it should work for the rope.

Sorry KarstRanger, I fought the urge to post that as long as I could.
Try the fabric softner, should work.

I tried soaking that 1/2 in. nylon line in laundry softener for a couple of days. But,Tom Keels wrote:Put it in a 5 gallon bucket with some water and some laundry fabric softener. It works well for cast nets so it should work for the rope.
