By now everyone knows the conditions of Saturday, so I'll keep the whine to a minimum. Fishing with FlounderPounder, we caught a few reds to about 22" and ZERO trout, not even a dink . This picture pretty much sums up our day:
On Saturday I was eager to avenge the Saturday a@# whuppin' put on us. The weather forcast was wrong though, and I woke up to more of the same-- rain and wind. Just after lunch it stopped raining, and we made a move. First 10 casts and I caught a 30" red and a 24" trout. We caught a bunch more nice trout over the next couple hours and headed for the hill with vindication in tow. I've already forgotten about Saturday.
Great fishin!
I was watching the weather and thought about how nice it would be there later yesterday.
I had chores that I'm cashing in today:
VARIABLE WIND LESS THAN 10 KNOTS BECOMING EAST 5 TO 10
KNOTS. SEAS AROUND 2 FEET...EXCEPT 1 TO 2 FEET IN APALACHEE BAY.
PROTECTED WATERS SMOOTH BECOMING A LIGHT CHOP.
Looking for Macks with the flyrod and topwater with the new Okuma Select.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.
