Working on a new and improved BB

Post by BAD BEHAVIOR »

Got on the scales today. 255lbs. Decided to start on the diet serious and start hitting the weights again.Been kinda slowing down on the eating for a couple weeks to get ready for it . Light weight workout and 1 mile on the treadmill. I could eat the tailgate off a shiotwagon right now. First couple of days retraining the appetite is always tough. Goal is 225. I went from 370 to 218 about five years ago so Im hopeing this wont be too bad to drop 30. I figure Im gonna need to drop a few and get back in better shape to handle them big azz trout and reds @ Port St Joe. :-D

Chick-fil-a is a pretty good way to still eat a decent amount without taking in a ton of calories and fat. The chargrilled chicken sandwich has under 300 calories. Those yummy fries, however...

Thanks but the closest Chick fil a is 25 miles. I usually go green for the most part and limit my red meat intake. I dont eat fried( except fish, cant give up fried trout). Single guy like me who eats 90% of his meals out of a sack and doesnt get home everynight until around 9 wishes we had a chick fil a local!!!

Problem with chick-fil-a is I always seem to want it most on Sunday. They say men can lose a solid ten pounds by cutting out soda. So not fair! (not that i could cut out soda anyways)

BB.....try eating 5 small meals a day....consistently. The trick is to never be full yet never really hungry either. It works. Try not eating after 10:00pm at night and get at least 8 hours of sleep. Sleep plays a big part in weight loss/management. Drink water too. I got a really good book last year called "The Makers Diet" by Jordan Rubin (an FSU grad). There's some really good principles in there. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Like you BB, I had tipped the scales to much (245). The clincher was when I went to have dental work, and they took my BP. Too high.

I now am down to 220, heading to a goal of 200. I have found that food I always thought was yuckie is actually quite tasty. The weird one was asparagus tips. I always thought YUK!. Now they are one of my favorites steamed with a little light butter over them. I still grill a good thick steak every few weeks, but have cut way back on the fried food (French fries in particular)

Like they say, I feel better, can get around better, and can actually look down and see my feet now. :-D

Dubble

You guys put the asparagus in a cast iron pan with a dab of oil in the bottom, salt pepper and butter and slow cook(medium heat) on top off the stove . Turn it once.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?

Basically how its done, less the butter. Use E.V.O.O instead
