WANTED: Snapper Riding Mower

Post by Sir reel »

If anyone has or knows of someone who wants to sell a good used snapper riding mower (rear engine) I'd like to hear from them. 28 to 33 inch cut (no double blades). Would prefer electric start but not a deal breaker. Reply to this thread, PM, or email. Thanks.

Would you be interested in a top notch John Deere rider? I got one my wife had. 185 Hydrostatic. 42 inch cut.

First 1000 bux gets it.

I just don't need 3 JD mowers.

I'll keep it in mind DT. Thanks for the reply. It looks to be in very good shape just judging from the picture. I've always been a fan of the "real" JD's.... A's and B's (2 cylinder :D ). Shut em down at lunch time..... walk a few steps away.... turn around and you'd swear the thing is still running :-D

I'd still prefer a single blade... less to sharpen...one less gear box, smoother looking finish cut, (jmo), etc. but I will keep you in mind Thanks.

See if JT will let you borrow a couple of his girlfriends(goats) until you get your new mower. They should keep your yard trimmed up. Just be SURE you let JT do all the service work on them, Id hate for him to get jealous!!! :-D

I am supposed to go and look at a Model "D" to purchase and restore. Always been a dream of mine to do. I figure it can be a retirement project. Looks like this when done....

Thanks for the post RR. Not a bad looking mower. I would be concerned that a 30" cut along with 210 lbs of grump and a less than level area might be more than a 8hp should be matched up with  Would definately check it out if closer. Best guess would be a full day and $100 in gas round trip. Keep those cards and letters coming in  :D

I have one you can have. And older model. I beleive the tranny needs some work. Engine runs fine just needs an exhaust. I can get you the HP and deck size if you like. Can't remember off the top of my head. You come get it, you can have it.
