OCHLOCKNEE RIVER 4/13/08

Post by One Keeper »

Went back down the river at highway 90 to try for more kitty-cats and was not disappointed ended up with 24 channel cats from 1 1/2 to 5 lbs all caught on Sonnys catfish bait. Hooked several that we could not turn. Fun day on the water with the better half and my new golden retriever.

Were you fishing from the bank or did you boat to the spot?
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

The best places we have found is out in the flooded parts that open up near the lake. Find a deeper hole 7-10 foot off the river channel anchor up fish on the bottom with Sonnys super sticky channel catfish bait and hold on. Be careful not to wonder to far off the river channel cause you can get lost or turned around out there. :-?
