Light House 4/18/08
Well, we almost decided against going out this afternoon because of the wind. Thought we would try it and worse case we come back with nothing. Put in at Shields and there were waves on the river as we headed out, it was not looking too good. By the time we got to the light house the wind had settled some, nice breeze but just a light chop on the water. Immediately we were getting bites, it was a great way to start the weekend. Keith caught a nice Spanish, 20" and we were off....at least we thought so. The rest of the afternoon was the usual trout at 14.75", lady fish, a catfish and a ramora. At least we were getting bites and catching something with almost every cast. It was a fun evening even if we didn't fill the cooler. Had a nice ride in and look forward to the rest of the weekend!! Good luck to everyone tomorrow, can't wait to hear the reports. BTW, everything was caught in 3' water on new penney Gulp.

Sorry about the short trout, they are fun but don't fill the cooler. We had our best luck in 4.5 ft. water over spotty bottom, but we were further East from where you fished.

Sounds like a good day in the boat. You sure that remora wasn't a small Cobia?
