I struggled to decide whether to take the boat or the yak out yesterday. In the end with the low tide, the kayak won out. The water I fished today was very skinny and very sharp bottomed. I fished the bottom end of the tide and the first few hours of the incoming. Throwing some topwater and DOA Terror eyes, I was able to pick up several upper slot reds to about 28". There were a few trout to about 23" to be found as well. Seems like the good weather and good fishing is here at last.
