Keaton Beach, 4/18-19
Arrived somewhat late on 4/18 with Breambuster and his son, C-man. We didn't get fishing until 4 pm on the falling tide. Tried to find some stained water in 2-3', fishing wasn't fast, but we picked up some quality trout in the 18-23" range. Called it a day as the sun set. We arrived early on Saturday planning on making the most of the day. Fishing was good for the first 3 hrs of the rising tide with the wind blowing at a stiff 10-15 pushing the water in. We were close to our limit of trout by noon so we opted to move in to give the reds a shot, also hoping to pick up some larger trout. On our first drift over some oyster bars we picked up a couple more keeper trout. I hooked up with a slot red on a gold spooned spinner bait and C-man quickly followed that with another slot red on a pin fish. We boated a couple more short reds, fun but no cigar. All the big boys had moved out, may have been the comotion we made
From 1-3 our bite shut down (as said in different report), did mangage my first cobe of the year, only problem was it was only 12"
We spent most of our time in 3-4', except when chasing the reds. The overcast conditions and rising tide in the am appeared to work to our advantage. Headed home around 4 for the long drive back.

Not too shabby.
