Keaton Beach Tuesday

Post by waterman »

Headed to Keaton to take pictures of the camper and do a little fishing. Was not planning on taking my 1 year old grandson. My wife said she could handle him out on the boat I thought right I figured maybe 15 minutes of fishing at the most. Arrived at the camper looked for keys to the camper seem like I left them in Valdosta. That was ok I figure take pictures of outside . Then hook boat up good thang I keep a spare key in my tackle box. Had to borrow a life veat from neighbor for grandson. Put boat in and headed north around the bird rack. Had not been there more than 5 Minutes when the game warden picks me out of three other boats in the area. Did not check anything on the boat just pulled up ask how I was doing then left. Caught a few pinfish serveral bass and couple of shorts and one keeper around 15. Grandson was getting a little restless so we moved to south of the channel . Picked up a few more shorts and bass, and a few cats. Hooked another keeper around 16". Seen a 5' shark at the boat thats when grandmom decided it was time to go. Fished maybe 3 hours from the time we put the boat in then took it out. Grandson did good can not wait till he starts fishing and hunting with me.

Total: : 2 pinfish
5 sea bass
2 cats
6 shorts
2 keepers
time spent with grandson
