Seminole 4/18-21/08

Post by wevans »

We got to the lake around 9ish Friday mornin and got settled in pretty quick. After a quick bite ta eat, it was off to the races :-D we all went in dif. directions and started throwin plastic "except my nephew Mike who insist on fishin Shiners" :-? I threw a weighted worm "don't have a stroke TC" for a couple hours with not a nibble, so I put on a silver/blue back Yozuri and started trollin around the edges of the channle :o and to my surprise, I picked up a 16 incher  put it back out and a short while later, a 13 incher, back out and another 16 incher :-D by this time it was time for me ta get back to camp and help with fixin supper  my nephew Dale and Luke from Advantage picked up 5 or 6 fish with the biggest around 18 or 19 inches, the shiner fishers had 1 fish and the other two boats struck out :smt004 Saturday was NASTY first thing in the mornin, it started clearing around 10ish and the wind started kickin  we all fished hard and I ended the day with a 15 and 16 incher, the shiner boys got 1 fish and I'm not sure what the others brought in  Sunday I went back to where I had a REAL nice fish follow a horny toad all the way back to the boat on Saturday  and on the first cast of the Rattlin Rouge, I had a 23 incher on :-D and put her in the well for a ride :smt004 had several more fish make runs on the Rouge, but no more hookups. I think there was a few more Bass caught by the others and the bream fishers finally brought in 4 fish :o and since my nephew Mike couldn't catch a Bass big enuff ta beat mine :-D he went catfishin and caught a 9 pound cat ta take the big fish pot for the weekend :smt012 Monday was a couple hours fishin around the resort, first cast with a 5 inch ChugBug at daylight gave me another 16 incher  had several more blowups on the ol chug but that was it for the fish. All in all, a fun trip with a great group and I think I only hurt Dales feelings once "well, maybe twice"
