Sitting on a Dock on the Bay

Post by MudDucker »

Got to the Cape late last night and we decided not to jump up too early. Pulled out of the condo around 8 and headed to the State Park. We was gonna catch us some pompano. Run up and down the beach until noon, but all we found was blues, ladyfish and ly's. Had some nice LY's come by the boat gettin' it and jumping. Looked back and 3 undersized cobes were in hot pursuit until they spotted the boat and headed the other way. Heard several boats proclaim they were catching cobes. My bud said it sounded like someone sitting back on shore making it sound great for the tourists :smt005 Decided to run into the city marina for a hot lunch. Grupa samiches were GOOD! Headed to the back of the bay. Stopped and caught short trout in several spots. Finally got a keeper and decided didn't want to clean just one fish, so its back out there for next week. Had a huge hit on my she dog and here goes a stinking ladyfish out of the water. Suddenly my line went slack. Somehow my braided line got cut. Ran back to the State Park. Boat ran great, company was good, fishing wasn't for skunks and after a big dinner at the Indian Pass Rawbar, my eyelids are very heavy. Ya'll have a good one  :-D
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

It was a great day for small trout and trash fish. We had the same problem maybe it was the high low tide. :smt009
