Me and pops put in at 90 right after daylight. Went down about halfway to the lake and started trolling the edge of the river. Bluegill and Shellcracker don't seem to be bedding up in the river. Caught a few in the sloughs but most were out in the main channel. Caught over 50 and kept about 25 nice ones. They got lockjaw right after noon.
Gamewarden told us, while checking us at the landing, that a guy caught a 37lb striper on the other end of the lake on Friday. Apparently a bystander waded down to help him out and got popped by a moccasin in the rocks. No good deed goes unpunished, I guess.
