Tuesday afternoon on the water

Post by QueenB »

Decided I just couldn't wait any longer, I needed to get on the water and wet a hook. As soon as I could, left work, was hurrying home when.......you guessed it.....I got pulled over for speeding. I tried to pull a "Bad Behavior" and talk my way out of it by letting the officer know I was on my way to fish...it didn't work. (Guess he is not a fisherman!) Anyway, took my punishment and continued home to get the Hubby and the boat. We were on the water by 6pm and ready to fish. The ride out from St Marks was rough and the chanel in front of the lighthouse had big waves. Once we were out of the chanel, in shallower water the chop was manageable. The bite was never really on but we managed 2 nice keeper trout and plenty of shorts (naturally). The sunset was pretty but the gnats at the ramp were no fun. On the up side we had the ramp to ourselves which is a nice change from the weekend fishing frenzy at the ramp. Always great to be on the water. I will try and do better with the pics.....I take the camera then get so into catching fish I don't stop to take pics.....maybe I need to take a photographer with me! Maybe BB would follow me around with his new boat and snap pics for me......I bet he could get some good ones from the poling platform...I have a waterproof camera so when he falls he can snap a pic of me laughing!!!

Yes, I thought it was y'all pulling by my house this afternoon (without stopping to ask if I'd like to go). I thought, man they must have already gotten their stimulus checks in the mail going this late in the day :-?

Good to hear you got your fix and got some stink on
Now I know it'll be safer to drive in the neighborhood without you needing to go again so fast!
use your opportunities ...
