panacea 5/13/08

Took three co-workers out for some grouper fun on Tuesday. Noaa was calling for 1-2 ft seas and 5-10 mph winds! They were off again as usual , we hit the water about 7:00am and ran into some 3-4 ft seas with a few 5 footers thrown in for good measure, the 22ft Bayboat and bilge pump was pushing thier limits :-D wind was blowing @ 15-20 mph atleast. The ride out to 40 ft was slow, cold and wet. Seas calmed down after lunch to the predicted 1-2 footers and the ride back to the hill was much quicker. Fish were caught in 40 ft of water at only two spots using live pins and frozen LY`s.Back at the hill by 3:00 pm
Tally for the day
18 keeper gags
2 red groups
10-12 short gags
2 kingfish
21 large grunts
3 seabass
1 blown chance at a cobia 70-80 pounds :smt075
