West Bay 5-17
First trip to West Bay.....put in at the bridge on 79 at 5am headed over to Crooked Creek.....fished hard....chunk and reel chunk and reel, finially picked up first slot red around 7am and 500 casts....CapMike Gold Spoon.....fished another 30 minutes and picked up and headed over to Warren Bayou fished here for another two hours and picked up two sail cats......headed in for a little family time and a bite.....I will be back at it in the AM.
If you release them they will grow!!!!

There are some nice grass beds on the eastern and western shores. At least you didn't get skunked on the first trip. Of course the wind made you fish the north side. I like to fish the windy shore rather than the slick side.

I have had pretty good luck on the western half of the Bay. Fish the grass beds.
