Bob the Builder, his son, and I looked at the forcast and decided to try it. Between stopping for gas then breakfast, we finally launch at 7:30(dead low tide) So I creep out the river not wanting to hit anything. I come off plane to ease over that one shallow spot before the mouth and the mouth. And I watch this fellow in a red kenner go flying across where I know it is real shallow. I tried to stop him as he went by, then I cringed waiting for the inevitable. But it was his lucky day. We tried towards rock i first but no dice. The water was 72 degrees and a little stained. We moved towards Aucilla and had a little luck there. Fishing was tough and we caught most on a straight jig and grub. A thunderstorm moved in on us, seing where it was headed(Ecofina) we ran all the way to cobb rocks to avoid it. Got down there and the sun came out and the water was crystal clear. Only got one fish there and went back to Aucilla. Talked to Bad Behavior and Bowed up on the radio. Good to talk to yall. They seemed to be having an off day as well. We wound up with 5 trout (15"-18") 2 grouper (10"-12") many shorts(6"-14.5") 2 cats and a remora. I would have had my limit but lost one at the boat. On a side note we had a huge dolphin circle the boat twice.
Good day on the water. That low on sunday was only a 1.5 footer, plenty of water to get out at the mouth. Now when it gets below a 1 foot low, Watch out!.....

I came once on a 1.5' tide and hit a rock and a crabtrap.
