A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I can work from home one day a week and make up the difference in the price. Add to that, planning errands and taking lunch to work instead of driving saves me money all around. I put about 40-50k a year on a vehicle no matter what the price of gas is. I have to drive. I burn less than 5 gallons of gas on a fishing trip in the boat...Is $30 per trip going to stop me....nope. I'm lucky, I can justify any gas I burn as a business expense so the gas in the truck on the trip back and forth is a wash.
Bh I am self employed too. I have to ride all over in my work also. I have already been cutting back on lunches out. Planning trips for multiple task instead just one..etc. My 40 4s is miserly on gas. It's the drive to the flats where I already see a $8 increase from last year per trip.
I guess part is the psyche job it does with the price increase going up so fast. My main hobby is fishing, and anything that may hamper that I will try to figure ways around it.
Just how do you think $6 gas will effect your business?
