I have had very little luck with live shrimp "the few times I've tried them", lures and jigs have always produced better for me :D

Slow grubs. Color? I stick to pearl/red tail but I don't think it matters a whole lot. I'm really liking the 1/16 oz Capt Mike (Flats Candy) jigs. They're real light w/ big heavy hooks. They're easy to fish real slow & deep. I have a tougher time keeping heavier jigs in the zone. That's what I was doing Friday when I did real well on trout and reds in Spring Creek. I'll try to post a report (busy).
