Strong Currents at PC Beach

Here in PC for the long weekend with family. Was swimming yesterday ad the current was very strong.. they had a record number of rescues at 40. One swimmer still missing. The sheriff helicopter was still search lighting the water out front till after 11pm last night as well as search boats... Im a good swimmer but I even felt like i needed to get closer in when the current was pulling me out quickly... stay safe today!

Should of seen us motoring out of CIS pass yesterday

I was in PC on May 14 through the 18th and the lateral current was awful.I threw a football in the surf and in a matter of seconds it was 50 yards down the beach from the place where I threw it.Beach patrol was out every day making sure all children were being watched closely which was nice to see. My 12 yo and I tried to fish in the surf a few times but even with a 8 oz weight you could not keep the bait out. It was not much of a swimming vaccation thats for sure.

I noticed the red flags on the beaches here at Gulf Shores yesterday too. The Gulf was more riled than I'm used to seeing it this time of the year.
