Apalachee slam ? 5/24,25
Fished Friday P.M with Millertime, and another buddy from V-town. We hit the
grass beds out of Panacea and landed several nice trout and several shorts. The
two biggest being 23" and 21"
Saturday my A.D.D. must have kicked in as we fished all over the place. We started at
bouy #4 looking for spanish. No spanish to be found? but this big boy showed up under the boat
and inhaled a dead sardine.
In the scramble/panic to get the fish gaffed, another bigger one follows it to the boat but
we cant get a bait to him before he moves on.
The sharks finally run us off after eating all my tackle. Next we run to the shoal and have some fun
with blue fish and this nice Jack. The jack ate a bucktail with a gulp eel.
Next we head to Hook Wrecks for lunch and to pick up a tired Kayaker. Back to trout grounds
we catch 6-8, only two keepers(Joe), so we give up and head to Ochlockonee bay for red fish.
We catch a few dinks and one that almost makes it.
The day ends with a flounder near the Tradewinds dock.
A mixed bag but no limits. Shark, cobia, Jack, Blue, Trout, Red, Flounder

Nice fishes...but I think you are supposed to measure the cobia BEFORE you set the gaff.
