I all so have a kenner 19ft i had trim tabs on it but theman at carters Marine said that the kenners don't need them it get up great My boat is a tunnel hull with a jack plate also and i have no trouble getting om plane with the (0 hp motor..still have the trim tab laying around the barn collecting dust
Bob's stabilizer plate I love mine and since it's made from aircraft aluminum, I can use it as a step ta get in the boat also
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.”
I also have 19' Kenner with tunnel and Yamaha 90 put a hydro foil on mine helps me keep water on prop when turning at a high speed had trim tabs also due to the fact that my spouse is lighter than me and it would help with a port side list I have, however I been fixing that with weight distribution.
Does it hurt the value of the motor to drill holes in the motor flange for the hydrofoil? Does the foil make a huge improvement? My 200 Yam sits down way too low at less than half trottle. I am a little confused on tabs, flaps, plates, jacks. I promise to be less needy and more helpful when I get educated. Thanks for any assistance. I have read the thread started by BB back in April.
