Which one did you get? I've been wanting to get a video camera to use for fishing trips. I've been using the video function on my digital camera lately. The price on these makes them pretty appealing. They have a waterproof case available for them also.

Hi Nathan-
I got the Flip Ultra... its a little smaller and from what I read the video quality is better.
It runs on 2 AA batteries and has not burned them up yet so the battery life is good.
The waterproof case is on my wish list.

I got it for work- videoing homes, problems the inspector finds, showing how close parks or shopping is to a listing.
Fishing videos are a bonus!

Question: Can you cut still images from the video with the camera, or do you have to use a third party editor?

Really super little cams. I got a pink model for my 9 year old granddaughter before our trip to Washington this spring as she wanted to take some vids and of course Poppy
responded. I chose it for its size and simplicity...wanting something more than a "toy." The results are quite amazing! Great pic and audio downright unreal in low
light situations. I'd give it a 4.8 out of 5!
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Looks like I'm going to have to get me one. Ought to work fairly well for simple fishing videos on the boat. Probably going to get a mount for it and put it on my console grab rail. That way when I'm out fishing alone I can just hit the button and start recording. It looks like I can get a cable and tie it into my chartplotter also. That way I can view videos on the 7" color chartplotter screen.

I saw this at Best Buy and thought it would be a cheap way to take a few photos while on the water. Its on $59.00 and 5.0 megapixel. It comes with 32 mb and a SD slot for more memory. I have no idea what kind of pictures it takes thought or how they look.
