soft plastic swim baits

Post by grasscarp »

Has anybody tried any of the big, soft plastic swim baits such as Bass Magic or anything close to that. I have heard of people using them for reds.

Swim baits work great for reds. Any swim bait that puts off vibration will work. I haven't noticed color being much of an issue either. And there so easy a caveman can do it. Just chunk and wind.

ive caught trout on the smaller storm lures under a ct. and i caught an undersized grouper once on a storm on the bottom. grunts ate it up though. i bet that new gulp alive spray on a swim bait might be really good under the ct. hhhmmmmmmm............. :D

I always thought that but they are seem to be really heavy and have an issue picking up alot of grass. I fished one under a float to keep it off the bottom and it had a big hit, but broke off so I guess they would work.
