Texas style Flats Boats

Why doesn't that style catch on around here? It seems that is all they use in Texas. You know the zero freeboard decks.

For me it's the difference between "fall out" vs "fall off!"

Talking to a couple of guys I know that fish out there, a lot of those guys are starting to lean more towards the poling skiffs that are popular here and in South Fla. Those scooter boats are great until you stop. Not so skinny when at rest. And you can forget poling them.

I can't see where they would be an improvement for Fla.
