Myself and SupaFly hit St Marks early Sunday and enjoyed a great, but long, day out. Tried a few public #'s first, which produced several AJ's, a 10 foot shark - that Supa fought till we cut off so not to get tangled, while I was catching my biggest to date cobia. 42 inches... no scales but estimated him at 25-30...
All caught on live bait... with the exception of one grouper trolling a blue stretch 30...
Final Ride Home:
1 Cobia
1 Red Groupa
5 Gags
1 Spanish
1 Flounder
1 AJ
Next spot, we managed 5 gags, and 1 nice red..
Supa hauled in a nice flounder as well and snagged a hefty spanish while fishing for bait.June 1 - St. Marks

Nice seafood buffet

You’ve reached middle age when all you exercise is caution.
Re: June 1 - St. Marks
It was a good trip, however he fails to mention that I fought that stupid shark for about 20 minutes simply because I spotted the cobia following it and wanted to give someone on the boat a chance to catch it. It was a monster nurse shark that looked to be about 10 ft long. Apparently the world record is only 5 ft and some odd inches. I could have been in the books!
