WELL THE OLD MAN OF THE SEA MADE IT TO THE COAST AGAIN. TWO OF MY FRIENDS FROM HERE IN CAIRO WENT WITH ME , ROY AND DAN. WE ALSO OBSERVED THE FACT THAT THE WIND WAS 15-30 OUT OF THE S.E. WITH SWELLS TO 3 FT., THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE WATER COME OVER THE BOW OF MY STARCRAFT. THE FORCASTED 5-10 NEVER HAPPENED TODAY. CONSIDERING THE CONDITIONS WE DID QUITE WELL. CAUGHT 23 TROUT, 2 LADIES, 2 SUCKERS, 1 CATFISH, 1 BLUE, 1 ROCK BASS, AND 2 PINFISH, ALL ON SUSPENDED BAITS. THERE WERE SO MANY WHITECAPS WE COULD NOT USE TOP WATER. WATER TEM WAS 83 DEGREES, AIR TEMP 101, HOT BOYS, HOT. AFTER GETTING BEATEN HALF TO DEATH WE DECIDED TO HEAD TO THE HILL ABOUT NOON. IT WAS GOOD TO GET BACK OUT ON THE BAY BUT IT WAS NOT FUN.

Re: CATCHIN ST. MARKS
PA, saw you taking and out and tried to give you a shout (aluminum starcraft from GA is recognizable boat). I was in the aluminum bass boat tied to dock, sipping a beer, waiting for my wife.
Sounds like you guts had a good day even though it was hot.
Katie forgot my rods, but fishing wasn't my priority today. We were going to take the dog for a swim and I wanted to run the boat. I had some work done on the boat that resulted in a charge running through my throtle arm. It got worse as I gave it more gas, and by 20mph it was all the way up to my elbow. Unlike BB's story, it was Porter Marine who worked on my boat. I loaded back up about 10 minutes after Katie arrived, and Howard and gang got it fixed (no cost). Took a few trips, but I now have all new rocker switches, a new T/T switch and a skeg guard. The shop did everything the could to have me ready for the tourney tomorrow. Hopefully we can get in 'em like you did..

In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
