Summertime flats fishing patterns

Post by Redbelly »

Was discussing this with another flats amn the other day. He stated that when it got hot, forget the tide and solunar table. You either fish early, late, or after dark.

What is your experience in these temps we have now? For trout, reds....

True it may slow during the day but if the tides are in your favor I have caught some large Trout in the middle of the day on topwater.

TODAY I THINK THE BITE DEPENDS ON WATER TEMP. ALL THE FISH WE CAUGHT TODAY WAS RIGHT ON LOW TIDE IN 10-12 FT. OF WATER, WE GOT DOWN A LITTLE LATER THAT I WANTED TO AND IT WAS TOO WINDY TO TRY FOR REDS IN CLOSE.
