A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I was reading some past posts concerning 30 in. trout. Well heres my 2 cents worth. Here where we fish 24-26 trout are common. 27-28 rare 30in. never seen one. Close though, pictured are some of the ones we catch, none under 24in. They range all the way to 29in. Who can guess which one?[/img][/img]

Man , i was dang proud of my 27.5". I can t imagine how big a 30 would be. I have decided though that I am going to try really hard on all my trips to devote three or four hours a trip just to catching big trout. SeaSpot's done rubbed off on me. Its not about the meat anymore. I really want to catch a thirty and release it. I like to tell myself Ill turn it back, hope I can if i ever catch one!! And yes before someone says it I do realize a thirty would be 2.5" bigger than my 27.5!!! My guess is the trout the older gentleman with the glasses is holding.
