June,7th tourney

My turney partner Bobby and i checked in with John at Jerrys around 6:00 and headed to the ramp.We headed to an area where we thought we might pick up our big fishand it did't dissapoint.Just minutes into our day Bobby hooks up with a big ole fatty and slowly works him to the net.I hold my breath until finally we seal the deal and boat the 26.5 inch 4.4lb pig.After a short celebration Bobby says ,that takes some pressure off and oh yeah i'm thinking all we have to do is get 4 more good fish to put us in the money.Easy right,wrong.We set up another drift and i hook up with a good fish but unfortuinetly he's 21.5 inches and doesn't help our cause.We move out to another area where on friday Bobby and another friend had picked up 10 good fish and start our drift.We catch several shorts before finanlly i boat an 18 incher.We move again and i hook up with another goodun but again too good 23.5 inches.Bobby boats our third keeper at 15.5 inches.We moved several more times picking up a couple reds and shorts but were unable to fill our limit.Arrived at Jerry's around 3:15 for weigh in and although our total limit wasn't very impressive Bobby's biggun took the biggest trout jackpot.As always Bobby .I enjoyed fishing with you and cograts on your pig.This was the first tournament that i've fished this year and it was good seeing all of you and i look forward to the next one.
