Transfering Waypoints???

Post by dawghouse1 »

I've got a Garmin 198C along with the cables and software to hook to my computer. Is there a way to transfer the mapsource waypoint list on here directly to my GPS or do I have to do it manually one by one like I'm doing it now? Thanks for any help!

What software do you have?

If you have the Bluechart software, you can create as many files as you like, transfer points from file to file, and transfer points, tracks, and routes from your GPS to your computer, and from your computer to your GPS.
What was I supposed to do today?

Download the .gdb file here...

http://www.bigbendfishing.net/docs/waypoints.gdb" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Open up Mapsource and then click file->open and open up the list. You will then be able to transfer the list to your GPS by clicking the "Transfer to Device" button. Should take all of 10 seconds to transfer them all.
