I fished hard for 5 hours today. Caught two bass, one about 12" and the other about 6". Tried everything I could think of. Fished red wigglers hoping to find some bream, not a single bite. As the day warmed up I noticed some activity in the shallow water on the sunny side of the pond. Went over there and the bass were staying right on the surface in about three feet of water, sunning like turtles. They were so spooky they would flush when a lure flew over them.
The water surface temperature was 40 degrees over by the dam and 46 degrees in the shallow water at about 3 p.m.
Caught both fish slow rolling a small spinner bait.
Ready for some warm water
