it's a shallow water anchor..when you let it down it grabs the bottom and holds you in place better than a regular anchor would

Looks like you've got too much weight aft. Try moving your TM batteries to the console or up front if possible. If you look at my trim tabs you'll see there only a couple of inches under. You should be sitting like this:

Just don't hammer down on the throttle with the powerpole buried in the sand. Powerpoles aren't cheap

Remember the 115 2 stroke is 358 lbs while the 115 4 stroke is 402. Add in the jack plate, and you may have your answer.

Re: BB, Too!! On the water pics.
Where are your TM batteries now? Mine are in the console and Im thinking seriously about putting them up front. I want to put a loaded Yeti up front first to see if that will balance it out. I like the way she runs now and I dont want to fool with it too much. Im concerned that if I move the batteries up front and have an ice chest up there, it may make it bow heavy. Thats about 200+ lbs just by doing that. It may offset it just right but then again, it may make the entire boat sit lower. I am just not sure!! Do you think that it would make the entire boat draft more or pick the back end up only?? Boat was already azz heavy when I got it naked. The jackplate weighs about 60lbs with the pumps and the powerpole may weigh 20. Add into it the extra down force by setting the F115 back 4"(no idea what that weight of force would be), and I just dont know what a balance would be. I realize if it balances out the boat, I can use my trim to create bow lift as I cant use the trim at all now. You guys insight is welcome and appreciated!!NoleFear wrote:Looks like you've got too much weight aft. Try moving your TM batteries to the console or up front if possible. The only answer I have for you is to trade me that one even for my canoe. I'll work out any problems I can find and trade it back to you in a few years.

Mine are under the console. Are your bait wells full of water in the pic? Once you get the weight thing fixed give Powertech Props a call and ask for a "stern lifting prop" it made a world of difference on my Redfisher.

One more thing to note: The fuel tank on the older models is further foward. If your happy with the way she is go get it slimed up

I think the tank on my MA is under the console. Like I said, I like the way she runs, just not the way she sits!! What did the sternlift prop do exactly for the redfisher??NoleFear wrote:One more thing to note: The fuel tank on the older models is further foward. Sweet little boat BB.
If you're happy with the way she runs then I'd leave it alone. BH is right though, your not gonna fish off of the back deck, put your Yeti cooler on the front and haul arse.
