The plan:
Head east, fish Turkey Point, the Shoal, and fish back to Lanark, then head out to Dog Island and fish, then meet up with some friends, and fish the pass.
The problem: The weather.
Managed to fish one and two and caught a red on top-water. Had a bunch of blow ups but no more takers. Probably disturbed some folks fishing for Tarpon as we drifted pretty close but they looked as though they were waiting anyway. Sorry fellas, tried to be really quiet. Storm starts moving in but looked a little clearer towards Alligator Point...WRONG!
Decided to call it before it got any worse and headed back to the landing being pelted with rain the whole way. Checked out the weather channel and decided to call it a day.
6/22:
Slept in, lazed about, and watched the radar off and on all morning. It starts raining at the house and I decided I needed to go get some supplies, mainly a new popa dawg. Call my 1st mate and tell him to meet me in an hour and we'll head to St Marks. "Isn't it storming at your house?"
"Ive been watching the weather all day, it will be nice."
"Okay."
Launch at the Lighthouse and headed east. It was a short Trout party. Caught a couple keepers and managed a big Blue. It was fun and released. Lots of floating grass everywhere! Also caught some pins and cats. Fished back towards the lighthouse with little success. Even got a little sun, probably against the advice of any dermatologist.
