Indian River 12/26

Got to the bait house about 7:30 is a.m. Not a shrimp in the house worth buying. Scrimp gut had not shown up yet. Bought some finger mullet and headed to Ballard Park to launch. Decided to go to Eau Gallie bridge for some possible action, but pretty rough after anchor, and to fast to drift. Headed back in to try some river action with less wind, etc. Well after a few stops here and there, managed to bring a healthy 18" Trout to the boat.. Darn I had to let it go. Trout is closed in December. Was nice on the water, gonna hit the port tomorrow.

Port Canaveral 12/27

Well the forecast at the bait store was 4ft and 8 seconds, in a 17ft, I don't think so. Stayed inside the port to try and scare up some Mangos, but they were not in the mood. Shrimp caught big pins and small Jacks, so I cut up a big pin to send down to the Blues. Caught two nice blues along with the previous mentioned. Tried to venture up to the pier, but the wind was a howlling, and went back to where we were. Still nice day on the water. Also got stooped by the man, first time in 2 years.. Said I needed a new fire extinguisher. Whatever. :-?

I lived in Melborne during the Cuban missle crissis, and when President Kennedy was killed. One of my favorite places I've lived. Lived one block from the causway.
