went out yesterday in my quazi-step father- in law Ed's ranger on lake seminole. we were on the water before daybreak and ran out to a mid lake point/ sandbar. there was a major bass touney going on so we had to respect the other anglers out there and ended up on a "plan b" spot. searching for hydrilla about 6ft. deep we quickly hooked up on some little guys on spinnerbaits, including a nice 4lb spotted bass by captain ed. once the sun came up though.. we switched to carolina rigs with junebug or watermellon trickworms and caught a fair number of two to three lb.ers, and i caught one guy in a random shad ball/ rattletrap accident. id love to put pics up but i cant figure out how.
this went on for a good while but it just got too hot to keep going by about one. the bite had died off at about 1130 anyway. lol. while not the greatest day ever... it was still pretty good esp. since we were fishing during a tournament and had to go behind a million other bass guys. good times
