Tarpon Tales 6-29-08

Post by jsuber »

What a morning. We got a late start, but once we got on the water it was non-stop action for about two hours. Talltails had the first hookup and it got off. I hooked up but ended up having my own line cut my own leader due to my own rigging. I had a great fight for a few minutes, but just not my day again. Talltails hooked up again and this time game was on. It made a long 150 to 200 yard run and Jason was able to turn him. He used a little heavier tackle and made short work of this fish in under 30 minutes. Beautiful site to behold and lots of fun. Hope you enjoy the pictures and congrats to Talltails on catching Tarpon two days in a row.

It still has a little fight in him.

Did I say a little, make that a lot.

What a magnificent site. I have never laid hands on a Tarpon so I was thrilled to watch Talltails boat this fish.

Talltails did a few laps around the boat afterwards.
