Got the front and rear decks cut out. Rear stringer supports are glued in. Been working on the positive hatch molds. I designed the profile in autocad, hopefully they will work as designed. Hatch gutters are basically pine in the following sizes 1x2, 1x1 and .75 x .50 and lattice strips. The hatch lids will be 1/4" plywood and 1/2" foam. The molds are basically one off molds, more than likely won't survive the release part.

Some pics of the hatch molds and stringer supports.

Area to the left will be a built in cooler.

How much time do you spend with them dogs?

30 minutes a day and a full day on the weekend and it doesn't take long...obviously I don't have the time I started this in 2004

Chalk, I was in PC last week and I almost called you to come see your project boat. But I wasn't sure if you were open to public tours yet.

Good point. Can't wait til she's done. Maybe you'll get her done by the time I get my youngest dog through yard work and ready for the field. :D

I said if I didn't like it I would make another one....well let me introduce another one to you

I messed up and forgot to round over the channel and couldn't and I really didn't like the shallow lip..so I started over.

This mold is for both rear hatches and will drain into the cockpit. Made it with 1x2, 1x1 and lattice strips. Used 5 minute epoxy to make up some time in construction...used a tube on this and came up a little short. Had one piece of lattice ride up on me so I am having to fill in some areas. Hope to finish sanding this evening and coat it with thinned epoxy. I added a layer of 1200 to the rear deck.

Getting closer and closer

Now that is out of the way - why the hell can't we make pine 1x1's in America...all the 1x1's say made in Mexico :o

I bought a computer cabinet made from recycled pine boards. MADE IN AMERICA.
The pictures looked like old pine planks remade into a nice looking piece of furniture.
When I got it, it was pressed chip board.
Apparently ground up pine boards.
$2000.00 later I had a recycled cabinet returned and a $2000.00 credit on my card.

At least you got a real board.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?
