Silver King Grande Master question

Post by LuckySOB »

Looking at buying a 99 Silver King Grande Master and feel like I am getting a good deal. Just wondering about the ride and how shallow the run. Any info would be appreciated. Jared

Boat floats in 8" with a 2 stroke. 4 stroke makes it bump 9-10". Awesomw boat that poles easy. I actually looked at one and it is a sweet boat. Are you looking at the 16? What size motor? They are well built boats set up like a Maverick. If Im not mistaken, they were either built by a previous Maverick employee or by Maverick themselves or at least using Maverick molds. Good luck and let us know what you think. If youll pull up Florida Sportsmen forum and search Silver King, there are a ton of discussions about them.

U should do a search on FS for the history on them....at one point in time Bass Pro bought them and the production quality went down...Get a pre bass pro boat

There are alot of people that like them boats...that boat has been for sale awhile, something might be fishy, check it good

No association with MHP that I am aware of....rumor that the original hulls were modified Mako 17's

99 is a BPS boat (http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zerothread?id=306781)

Thanks for your help Chalk. I bit the bullet and bought a 22V Pathfinder. I didn't want to spend that much $, but my wife and I should be happy with this boat. I got a little weery of the Silver King and was being a little selfish on a boat for me and not the family. Thanks for your 411.
