A Poor Man's IFA!!!
We would really like some of the BBFF members to come and participate in our next tournament on July 19th, 08. The tournament will be held @ Liza Jackson Park in Fort Walton Beach. I know for most that is quite a drive and costs become an issue, the tournament entree fee is just $20.00/boat. There will be an optional $50.00 calcutta as well. Our tournaments are a poor man's IFA event. Same rules apply. 2 man teams, all artificial baits, and redfish must be kept alive. Biggest 2 fish weight take all. If wanting to know more information, please check out our site http://www.theredfishclub.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, or give me a call. We should have about 15-20 boats participating right now. All of our tournaments are 100% plus payout. Represent the bigbend here in the panhandle.

Re: A Poor Man's IFA!!!
We should get 100% participation from our members on this one as well as a handfull of new guys that have already commited. The past couple of months we have had extremely low turnouts due to IFA and other big money tournaments scheduled on the same weekend. Our tournaments are from sunrise till 3pm weigh in. We have a few FLW and IFA teams participating in this one with us. Should be fun!

When it comes right down to it, I guess we do have the best fishing in the whole state right in our back yard.

If only we had all the other species of fish like they have further south, then I would agree. But it is still pretty dang good!Jumptrout51 wrote:When it comes right down to it, I guess we do have the best fishing in the whole state right in our back yard.

Re: A Poor Man's IFA!!!
Well maybe you can catch our last one in West Bay(PC) then. If you guys have an artificial tournament in your back yard, I would love to come. Fished St Joe and Apalachacola a hand full of times, caught a bunch of fish.
Just thought there might be a lone stragler on here that lives in the panhande like me that knows the waters a bit, or had a fast enough boat to go to where he does.
Enjoy your paradise. I'll see you in a few weeks when I come down and depleat your scallop population.

How about you do the tournament, ya'll fish and weigh there, and we fish and weigh here, and then we cooridinate the results over the phone. Then we will know who has "Got fish!"

Good idea Suber.
We could do a E-Tournament.
BigBend vs. Panhandle.
