Shellpoint 7-4-08

Post by jsuber »

Went fishing out of Shellpoint with Talltails Friday morning. We kinda had a half hearted plan to catch a few Tarpon but were prepared to fish for other species and ended up fishing for Trout mostly. My first one measured 24” on a extra big Topwater Skitterwalk, and I returned her to the sea after a quick picture. Next came an ideal eating redfish with lots of spots on the Trout colored Skitterwalk and a few small trout. Talltails tied on a pinfish after the tide turned and picked up a couple of 22” Trout and we ended up calling it a day after succumbing to sharks, rays, and gafftops. Flounderpounded was out there too and he caught some Reds, Trout and flounder.
