Shell Point 7/12
Bryce Hill and I started out fishing Shell Point around 6:15am. It was an extremely slow start and by 9am we only had 2 16" trout in the boat. We were becoming quite nervous at this point as we should have had better fish in the boat. We had numerous explosions on topwater, but all strikes were short. The fish were there but we just couldn't get a hook in one. At about 10am we moved to some oyster bars further east and I was fortunate enough to land a 26.5" 4.99lb trout. Its funny how one fish can boost your moral. We fished till about 1:00pm before we were ran off the water by the storm. It was a tough day at Shell Point, but we managed to get our 5 fish to total 10.28lbs.... Congrats to all those who fished, it was a tough one!

He slept well indeed. I told him that he should be working on a boat in Alaska if he could pull those kind of hours....caseycook wrote:That was a pig trout for sure! Good day fellas! I bet Bryce slept pretty good Saturday night.
