Been real busy with class this summer but got out this evening for a little bass action at a pond not far from where I live. My buddy picked up a bass on the first cast to a drop-off about 5-10 yards off a weed bank. It was a texas rigged 7.5 culprit in dark blue. Fish weighed maybe a pound. Fished with the worms a little longer and then threw some spinnerbaits. Nothing. Got towards dusk and threw on a topwater. Had 5 hits landed 3 bass in about 10 min. Was on a prop bait. Would reel for 3-6 sec and let it sit. Wait 2-4 sec and continue the retrieve back. Really tried to fish bottom change and would try to pause outside of sand spots and on the edge of the mud flat. Biggest at 1.5 lbs.

Nothing like sitting on a small lake or pond on a summer evening! Glad you had time to get out.
